The Brazilian Association of Electricity Distributors (ABRADEE) is a private, non-profit civil society organization that currently includes 39 electricity distribution concessionaires—both state-owned and private—operating in all regions of the country. Together, they serve over 86 million customers, covering 99.6% of Brazilian consumers.
Headquartered in Brasília, ABRADEE provides support services to its members in the technical, commercial, economic-financial, legal, and institutional areas. The organization is also responsible for coordinating and facilitating dialogue between the Granting Authority, regulatory agencies, parliament, the press, and various stakeholders in the electricity sector, focusing on current agendas and demands to advocate for the segment’s interests.
