The Guatemalan Association of Electricity Transporters (AGTE) is a social, cultural, educational, research, and freely associated organization dedicated to the comprehensive development of its Members. It brings together and advocates for the common interests of all individuals in the private and/or public sectors engaged in electricity transmission activities within the territory of Guatemala and/or the Region, who are duly authorized as Electricity Transmission Agents.

Through AGTE, its Members unify technical criteria based on engineering practices, promote the acquisition of incentives that foster the growth and development of the electricity transmission system, and seek to encourage greater and more competitive participation from both private and public entities in electricity transmission activities.

All of this is aimed at contributing to the economic and social development of Guatemala and the Region through the provision of a reliable, sustainable, and resilient electricity transmission service.
