The Superintendency of Electricity is the regulatory entity of the Dominican electricity sub-sector and is responsible for overseeing and supervising compliance with the laws, regulations and technical standards applicable to the sub-sector, in relation to the development of the activities of generation, transmission, distribution and commercialization of electricity, and is also responsible for establishing the tariffs and tolls subject to price regulation
