The Mexican Energy Association (AME), established in 1999, brings together the leading energy generators with the greatest experience and innovation, standing out both in Mexico and internationally.

It is composed of 22 leading companies in the energy industry, which together represent more than 37,000 MW of installed electricity generation capacity. In addition, it has 17 affiliated members that add value across various stages of the electricity industry chain.

The AME represents around 40% of the installed capacity in the country, with more than 30 billion dollars in investment.

The association is distinguished by its commitment to sustainability, integrating clean technologies such as combined-cycle generation, renewable energies, efficient cogeneration, and batteries, as well as promoting innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies that contribute to the continuous improvement of efficiency, reliability, and competitiveness of the National Electric System (SEN).
